Warehouse layout and engineering services
We measure how your warehouse actually runs, then design the layout, slotting and material handling around what we find. Often the fix is moving product rather than buying equipment. We sell no hardware and take no commission from integrators, so that recommendation costs us nothing.
What are warehouse engineering services?
Warehouse engineering services are the design of facility layout, slotting and material handling from measured order and throughput data rather than a template. The work starts by measuring pick density, travel distance and throughput by hour and season, then sizes the layout and equipment to how the operation actually runs. It often shows that moving fast-moving product closer to packing delivers what an automation purchase was meant to, at a fraction of the cost.

Find the cause of warehouse delays before investing.
When throughput falls short, equipment is the usual proposal. We measure the operation first, because the cause is often something a purchase would not fix.
Long travel distances, poorly placed fast-moving products and conflicts between picking and replenishment can all reduce output. Layout and slotting changes may address these problems.
We compare process and layout improvements with equipment options before recommending a capital investment.
What makes this different.
Current operations measured first
We measure pick density, travel distance, congestion and hourly throughput, including seasonal peaks.
Layout improvements considered first
We check whether moving product or changing the layout solves the problem before anyone commits capital.
Independent equipment advice
We sell no hardware and receive no commissions from integrators. We can recommend using your existing building and equipment when that meets your needs.
How this actually runs.
Measure the operation
We use system data to measure orders, pick density, travel distance and throughput by hour and season.
Weeks 1–2Design against the data
We recommend layout, slotting and material handling changes based on measured demand, including peak periods.
Week 3Sequence and cost the change
We identify the cost and order of each change, separating improvements using existing resources from those needing capital.
Week 4
Questions shippers ask first.
How do we know whether we need automation or just a better layout?
What is slotting optimization and what does it typically achieve?
Can you design a layout before we have picked a building?
Do you sell the equipment you recommend?

ebb Logic™ brings UPS, FedEx, DHL and LTL data into one shipping analytics portal. Track spend, surcharges, cost per package, dimensional weight, freight class and transit. We use that data to recommend changes and notify your team when costs or performance need attention.
