The short version
We use Google Analytics to measure page visits. We do not use advertising pixels, remarketing, session recording or software that identifies anonymous visitors by name or employer. Information and documents you send through a form are used for the evaluation you request.
Carrier agreements are confidential. We do not share your negotiated terms with other shippers.
What we collect
- What you enter in a form
- Forms may collect your name, company, email, telephone number, primary carrier and notes. Name and email are required so we can respond. The other fields are optional.
- Documents you upload
- Carrier agreements, amendments and invoices, where you choose to send them through the evaluation form. We accept documents and spreadsheets only, validated on our server rather than trusted from your browser.
- Which page sent you
- If you open the evaluation form from a tool page, we record the tool's name with your inquiry. This helps us understand your question.
- Which pages you read
- Google Analytics records the pages opened, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and whether you arrived from a search engine, a link or an email. It sets one first-party cookie so that your second visit is not counted as a second person. It does not store your IP address, and the settings that would let Google use any of it to build an advertising audience are turned off.
- Ordinary server logs
- Our host records requests, including IP address and user agent, in the normal course of serving a website. We do not join those logs to form submissions or use them to build a profile.
What we do not do
- No advertising pixels, no remarketing and no audience building. Google Signals and ads personalisation are switched off on our analytics property, so what we measure cannot feed anyone’s ad targeting, including ours. No data is sold or shared with brokers.
- We do not use software to identify anonymous visitors by name or employer.
- No session recording. Nothing here replays your mouse, your scrolling or your keystrokes.
- No advertising cookies. The only cookie this site sets is the first-party one our analytics uses to tell a returning reader from a new one. If you use one of our forms, Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookie at that point to score the submission.
- No third-party fonts loaded at page view. Typefaces are self-hosted at build time, so your browser never calls a font provider to render this site. Reading a page calls no one but our analytics; reCAPTCHA loads only when you start filling in a form.
- No mailing list by default. Sending us an agreement, or using any form other than the subscribe box, does not subscribe you to anything. The rate updates are opt-in only, every one of them carries a one-click unsubscribe, and leaving takes effect immediately with nothing asked in return.
Where your documents go
Uploaded agreements and invoices are stored privately without a public URL. Files are uploaded through our server, and the credential used to access stored documents remains on the server.
Access is limited to people working on your evaluation. We do not request permission to ship on your account or change carrier settings. Read-only access is sufficient for invoice auditing.
Who else handles it
These are processors acting on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
- Our hosting provider
- Serves the site and keeps ordinary request logs.
- Our database and file storage provider
- Stores inquiries and uploaded documents on our behalf, under our account and our access controls.
- Our email provider
- Delivers the notification that tells us an inquiry has arrived, and the welcome and unsubscribe emails for the rate updates. It handles the contents of that notification, which includes your contact details and your message. It never receives an uploaded document, because documents are never attached to an email.
- Google reCAPTCHA
- Scores form submissions to keep automated spam out of our inbox. It loads when you begin filling in a form, not when you read a page, and Google receives your IP address and interaction signals for that check. It does not receive the contents of the form.
- Google Analytics
- Receives page views, with the coarse location and referrer attached to them, so we can see which pages are read. It never receives your name, your email address, anything you type into a form, or any document you send.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back. Documents sent for an evaluation are deleted once that review is finished. If you go on to engage us, what you send for the engagement is kept for as long as it runs, and returned or deleted on request.
You can ask us to delete your inquiry and documents. No special form or waiting period is required.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold, request a correction or request deletion. We honor these requests regardless of where you live, in addition to any rights you have under applicable law.
Call or write to make a request. A portal is not required.
