What technology does ebb Logistics run?
ebb Logistics owns ebb Logic™, proprietary parcel and freight auditing and shipping analytics software. It extracts the priced terms from a carrier agreement, and our team checks each one before the software re-rates the invoices against them. Every finding carries the shipment, the billed charge, the contract term behind it and the difference. Those findings become refund claims, ongoing monitoring and the evidence for the next negotiation.
How ebb Logic™ works.
ebb Logic™ extracts the priced terms from your agreement and holds them as the reference every invoice is checked against. Our team verifies each extracted term before it is used. From there the software calculates the expected charge for each invoice line and compares it with what the carrier billed.
- 01Contract extractionebb Logic™ extracts the discounts, tiers, minimum charges, accessorial rates and other priced terms from your agreement and its amendments. A typical agreement holds roughly six hundred data points. A table-reading tool handles the structured rate tables, and the written clauses are processed separately.
- 02Confidence and human reviewEach extracted value has a confidence score and is reviewed by a person. We correct and confirm the terms before using them to calculate expected charges.
- 03Ratingebb Logic™ recalculates every invoice line each week from your terms and the relevant fuel indices and delivery area schedules. Thirty rules are active, fourteen of them written specifically for UPS billing.
- 04Findings with evidenceEach finding shows the shipment, charge, relevant contract term and calculated difference. Checks that find no discrepancy are recorded too, so you can see what was reviewed.

We use your existing files and handle the conversion to a consistent format. You do not need a direct system integration to begin.

- 02TMS and broker exportsFor LTL and truckload, we use exports from your transportation management system (TMS) or broker. These include carrier, lane, cost, accessorials, class, pallet details and weight.
- 03Order, ERP and WMS extractsOrder, enterprise resource planning (ERP) and warehouse management system (WMS) data can help with packaging and cost-per-order analysis. These files are optional.
- 04Scheduled file transferYour team can send files on a schedule in its existing format. We handle the conversion needed for analysis.
- 05Exports for your reporting toolsTables export to CSV for Excel or Power BI, and pages print to PDF. We can also arrange a data feed to your own warehouse.
