Pandion Shuts Down
Pandion, a Bellevue, Washington-based delivery startup founded during the pandemic-driven e-commerce surge, closed operations on Wednesday, January 15th, amid a tightening venture capital market and the stabilization of online retail demand.
Pandion was founded by Scott Ruffin, a seasoned logistics innovator who played pivotal roles in developing Amazon’s sortation centers, Amazon Air, and Walmart’s e-commerce transportation team. Frustrated by the limitations of traditional delivery providers, he launched Pandion in 2020 during a surge in e-commerce demand. Ruffin envisioned a logistics network optimized for residential delivery with a diversified mix of carriers, offering fast, affordable, and reliable service to businesses and consumers alike. Pandion aimed to provide the sophisticated logistics solutions he once helped build at Amazon, tailored to meet modern e-commerce challenges.
