UPS Strengthens Healthcare Logistics with $1.6 Billion Acquisition of Andlauer Healthcare Group

Atlanta: UPS (NYSE: UPS) has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Andlauer Healthcare Group Inc. (TSX: AND), a leading Canadian provider of specialized third-party logistics and cold chain transportation services for the healthcare sector. The transaction, valued at approximately USD $1.6 billion (CAD $2.2 billion), underscores UPS’s commitment to expanding its global healthcare logistics capabilities.

Under the agreement, AHG shareholders will receive CAD $55.00 per share in cash. The acquisition will significantly enhance UPS Healthcare’s end-to-end temperature-controlled solutions, supporting the growing demand for precision logistics driven by next-generation healthcare treatments.

Kate Gutmann, EVP and President of International, Healthcare, and Supply Chain Solutions for UPS, stated, “Next-generation treatments are creating greater complexity in healthcare logistics. AHG’s expertise will help us deliver expanded cold chain capabilities, contributing to superior patient outcomes and our global growth strategy.”

Upon closing, AHG founder and CEO Michael Andlauer will lead UPS Canada Healthcare and AHG operations, further strengthening UPS’s presence in North America. “Both UPS Healthcare and AHG share a customer- and patient-centric culture focused on quality and innovation,” Andlauer emphasized.

UPS Healthcare will integrate AHG’s network of temperature-controlled facilities and specialized transportation services, offering customers broader access to critical cold chain solutions.
