FedEx 2026 amounts are from 2026 changes to FedEx surcharges & fees, effective January 5, 2026, and the January column is priced from "2027 changes to FedEx surcharges and fees", effective January 4, 2027; both apply to Express and Ground alike. The ZIP list is FedEx Delivery Area Surcharge ZIP codes, effective July 20, 2026, with the January 4, 2027 list already published beside it. The FedEx pickup area list is identical to the delivery list for both dates. UPS amounts are from UPS revised rates for value-added services and other charges, effective December 22, 2025, Air and Ground alike; the ZIP list is the UPS Area Surcharge ZIP Codes workbook on ups.com, whose own label reads effective June 1, 2025. Surcharges are applied after your discount and before fuel, and the delivery area surcharge is additional to the residential surcharge. Multiweight and hundredweight shipments have per-shipment caps not shown here.

What is das zip lookup?
A delivery area surcharge is a per-package charge FedEx and UPS add for deliveries to ZIP codes they classify as costly to serve, in three contiguous-US tiers: delivery area, extended and remote, plus Alaska and Hawaii. In 2026 FedEx charges $4.45 commercial and $6.60 residential in the base tier, $5.55 and $8.80 extended, and $16.75 remote; UPS charges $4.50, $6.55, $5.70, $8.85 and $16.50. Roughly 25,600 ZIP codes carry a surcharge at each carrier and the two lists agree on almost all of them. The FedEx list effective January 4, 2027 moves 2,533 ZIP codes from extended to remote.
