Read the crossover column this way: below that weight, the discount changes nothing and the carrier bills the minimum. If most of your volume sits under the crossover, you can raise the headline discount by ten points and the invoice will not move. That is the conversation this tool is meant to start. Published rates are FedEx Standard List Rates for Ground and Home Delivery, effective January 5, 2026. What is minimum charge?

A minimum net charge is a floor under a carrier agreement. Below a certain weight and zone the discounted rate drops under the floor, so the floor is what gets billed and the discount has no effect. The crossover weight is where the discounted rate rises above the floor and the discount starts to matter.
