Band mileages are the published UPS and FedEx ground zone structure. The index is each zone’s published rate divided by zone 2 at the same weight, taken from the FedEx Standard List Rates effective January 5, 2026. Change the weight and the spread changes with it, which is the point: a zone penalty quoted without a weight attached does not mean anything.
Review costs across the zones you actually ship to.
We use your shipment history to review volume and cost by origin and zone, including changes in carrier zone assignments.
What is zone map?
Parcel zones are distance bands measured from the origin, and they set the price before any discount applies. Zone 2 covers the first 150 miles and zone 8 is everything beyond 1,800. Moving inventory closer to your customers lowers the zone on every order, which reduces cost without any carrier agreeing to anything.
