The U.S. Department of Labor has reached a settlement with Amazon

The U.S. Department of Labor announced a corporate-wide settlement between OSHA and Amazon to improve worker safety and prevent lower back and musculoskeletal injuries at Amazon facilities.

This agreement resolves multiple ergonomics cases and marks OSHA’s first major multi-site investigation in over a decade.

Assistant Secretary for Occupational Safety and Health Douglas L. Parker stated that the nationwide settlement aims to improve conditions for hundreds of thousands of Amazon workers. The agreement mandates Amazon to regularly assess ergonomic risks, provide annual updates, and implement measures to reduce these risks.
