USPS Rate Changes 2025
Effective January 19, 2025, the United States Postal Service (USPS) will implement price adjustments for several shipping services:
Domestic
Priority Mail and Express:
Rates will increase by approximately 3.2%.
USPS Ground Advantage:
Prices will rise by about 3.9%. Retail prices will increase by 4.9% on average, while Commercial prices will see a 3.2% increase.
Parcel Select:
This service will experience the most significant increase, with rates increasing by 9.2%./p>
Notably, there will be no changes to First-Class Mail prices in January 2025; the cost of a Forever stamp will remain at 73 cents.
International
Priority Mail Express International (PMEI):
Rates will increase by 4.9%.
First-Class Package International Service (FCPIS):
Rates will increase by 4.9%.
International Priority Airmail (IPA):
Rates will increase by 4.9%.
International Surface Air Lift (ISAL):
Published prices will see a significant rise of 28.9%.
Airmail M-Bags:
Prices will remain the same on average, with only slight changes for a few rates.
These adjustments are part of USPS’s “Delivering for America” 10-year plan to achieve financial sustainability and service excellence. The changes are designed to keep the Postal Service competitive while providing necessary revenue to support personnel, technology, and infrastructure investments.
